As my girlfriend is using an A388 already, A388C doesn't seem attractive at all, as practically everything else is the same except the color display.
Unless one doesn't have a PDA phone now and needs one badly, otherwise I would suggest users (including myself!) to wait for Motorola A760, which runs on Linux OS. |

Too bad it doesn't offer any polyphonic ringer....otherwise I may get one myself.
Glad you like your phone! |

not bad
The Price is reasonable , cheaper than Siemens SL55
i bought it at 2880 in smartone..
The ringtone is loud enough..
but i dunno why all new motorola's cell phones do not support Vibrate+Ring simultaneously ....
it is a good deal for a phone w/ PDA functions
however, i find that there is a problem about the connection with PC..
sometimes it stops the connection..
the light of the LCD is not enough in outdoor .. esp in the days with sun shine...
the size is not really big as i thought before...
for $2880, it is worthwhile
of course, for those who wants to get a slim phone, it is not the cup of tea |

I still don't like the fact A388C doesn't offer polyphonic ringer...otherwise I would of bought one as well.
Now I just have to wait for A760...as I'm struggling to find a Motorola color mon tri-band phone to use this summer... |

Nah! Don't say you're stupid, as you certainly bought a phone with good value.
I guess the only reason I'm not getting one is...my girlfriend already uses the old A388!
Though I think A388 series is quite successful as I saw some girls use them and don't find the phone being "that" bulky...(actually I bought my A388 first and my girlfriend liked it so much and I simply gave mine to her...)
Of course, if I've some good extra money now, I would get an A388C as well. Though my girlfriend has been complaining I've been spending too much money on phones, and she would only allow me to buy A760 and V600 for the rest of this year. (only bought a T720 & E360 late last year for myself) |

To answer your questions:
1)Yes, you can "listen" to any phone call using the phone "itself", simply by opening the "flip" cover.
2)Yes, through data cable, though I'm not that familiar with computers, hence I can't provide you further details.
3)Just like most PDA's with "touch screens", no, you "do not" have to use the "stylus" or "pen" to make a call or use any of the functions, as you can simply use your fingers.
4)Please refer to my answer in 2 above. |

I have no idea which shops you visited, which must be bad shops. I saw A388C being sold for around $2800 through various network service providers in HK. |

You "should" be able to "upload" the photos back to a computer using the "data cable" which came with the phone... |

Comment on A338c
before you buy, think about the following points:
1. no polyphonic ringer
2. no handsfree earphone and jacket comes /w the package
3. you cannot upload the photo to PC even with a cable
4. it doesn't come with desktop s/w to manage PDA data (no truesync desktop) You must use outlook
5. mixed Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese in outlook is a mess
6. Game is limited and too slow |
